Putative Father Registry Study

During the 2015 General Legislative Session, the Utah Legislature passed Senate Bill 10: Compact for Interstate Sharing of Putative Father Registry Information and Senate Joint Resolution 1: Joint Resolution Urging Interstate Sharing of Putative Father Registry Information.

Copies of SB 10 and SJR 1 are included in Attachment A. SB 10 required a study of electronic systems and procedures that could be used to implement a Compact for Interstate Sharing of Putative Father Registry Information. This study introduces the problem that the compact intends to solve, outlines the compact terms, evaluates systems and procedures that could be used to implement the compact, and recommends next steps in the effort to find states to join Utah in the compact.
